Just wanna say it is disingenuous/ignorant to brand all of /vt/ as one big faceless hate machine with 0 flex or bend when in reality it really depends who you are talking about and there is usually an overwhelming level of support vs hate going on. Ina for example has never gotten even 1/1000th of the hate Fauna/Mumei did this past week over her entire existence. Why? She made the right moves and knows how to play things to usual Holo specs. Kiara hate was just over petty shit that didn't actually matter and didn't really have teeth to it and was revealed to just be impotent gnashing by a batch of unruly eggs. NijiEN has gotten 6 people through with nothing at all like what two of the Councils have gone through besides generic Cover vs Anycolor tribalism.
The Fauna thing and Mumei accusations aren't just normal but the worst-case scenarios. EN1 avoided this by not having this kind of thing be solid and irrefutable (besides Ame, so of course what a coincidence she's the one to talk about this). These reveals fall into the literal worst fucking grooves possible that wreck peoples' trust in Cover - its scouting, its management but more importantly how it truly regards its fans and viewers. I don't know why people spend so much fury on a new chuuba when the more concerning thing is revealing that Cover didn't have a regard for the sanctity of the emotional connection part of a dedicated GFE/ASMR tuber and willingly hired Leaf instead of anyone else. Idol company my ass. She didn't break in and hold Yagoo hostage and steal that character, they picked her. It's scouting/management's fault. Blaming chuubas for just doing their thing and existing is like blaming a wolf for biting you. It doesn't intend on what it's doing to be good or bad, it's just acting on its instincts. You instead should ask "why is there a wolf near me to begin with."
Besides that, this discussion is just suppressed everywhere else which by nature concentrates everyone who wanted to comment on it to just-here. /vt/ acts as a collective exhaust vent for the cowardice of the rest of the entire "community" not having the fucking guts, the balls, to talk about these kinds of things frankly instead of force some vapid saccarine fake positivity. People who aren't mentally stunted are not satisfied with the preschool playroom atmosphere. /vt/ is not attacking the community or tubers but showing said community what its own true colors and faces really are when there are no reputations and accounts upheld on of fear of ban/downvote. You are free to judge, you are free to make your own conclusions. People are allowed to speak their minds and say what's really ailing them about something. The fact most other vtuber communities simply shun and shut down literally all criticism speaks volumes as to how weak and shallow they really are. If this community cannot withstand the depth of self-reflection and sharing of our true values it truly has no merit to last in the long term.
