It is a pathetic way to look at the world and I sympathize with the people who take this game at face value. They are the kind of people that make it dangerous to act like a retard, because they are actual retards that flock to places that make those jokes because they think that they'd be in good company there. Completely disconnected from reality.
I can never understand how people can become so divorced from human interaction that they can simplify hundreds of diverse relationships between thousands or tens of thousands of people into a neat little set of caricatures. What kind of life do they live where everything is so bitter and jaded? What kind of horrible upbringing do they have where every act of good will or compassion is a cynical ploy? It makes me sad to see people so broken.
Rushia loves me and I love her and this is a fact, and it is a happy fact, but they can't reconcile this fact and a bunch of other similar facts with their poisonous worldview, for no other reason than some bizarre mental sunk cost fallacy where if they allow themselves to accept it, they have to come to terms with the world not being as awful as they have convinced themselves that it is.
And that's fucked up, man. That's really fucked up.
