Where I went to high school like, yeah the popular kids were normalfags (of course they were), but they were mostly popular because they were nice (and attractive). I wasn't really close friends with any of them, but I couldn't say I hated them either.
I really have to assume the anons who sperg out over this stuff went to school in a place where the popular kids got there from daddy's money or something, and so could get away with being awful. Their reactions are always way too emotional not to have a personal element to it.
