First of all, anyone with a brain, or at least following this thread, knew NijiEN was already plateauing or dropping. Because they had milked their "buff streams" to the point of ridicule, Nijisanji wasn't giving them anything to do, friction was already rising with the CN audience (and the viewbots were moved to Salome and Koshien that summer).
iLuna was supposed to be the wave to shoot up interest again, but instead they got ... 3 normies that didn't really fit their model, Aya and Aster, and the Holo-lite Maria, who streamed at the worst hours possible.
A lot of them grew into their own, but by that point, NijiEN had lost the CN viewers, and EN viewers moved on to Advent, small corpos and even fucking Tempus.
