The most likely reason L*serb*it got hired by Cover as staff was due to his translation work. I remember I worked with him on a project for one of the Heavenly Kings that required a script to change subtitle files compatible with YouTube community CC file format, before they discontinued it. He pulled some shit out of his ass and I was really impressed but he never shared the conversion script so he probably wanted to monetize it, but it probably got him through the doors at Hololive as technical staff. (in hindsight, it was probably piss easy to code)
Goes to show, with a little intuition, a lot of luck, and some drive goes a long way and could even get you in contact with your oshi someday. It worked, even for a loser like him after all. Also, do your reps.
