>>36418738>from there, all we need is to get our sympathizers talking, and they'll be buying our blue jeans, and listening to our pop music in no timeI think you were thinking too far ahead there. Like, 50 years too far ahead.
Anyway.
The objective I want to achieve in this arc is, icebreaking? A couple of years have passed since we stopped killing each other on the high seas, so I think it's safe to engage in a small friendly exchange for once to break the cold war.
And a wargame is something that makes sense if you want the two to burn out all past malcontents. Can't kill them but humiliating them in a spar is close enough.
The atmosphere can be summed up 'Do it for /inf/, do it for /inf/'. Where you try to get to know the friend of the shared mutual. It's obvious that in the future /meat/ will inevitably get called into more diplomacy that involves /inf/ and /morig/. So we need to alleviate some pressure before that day arrives.
Who knows, maybe if we're cooled enough they would forget the 'remove your navy in the gulf' plan.
Because even if they are the 'Police of the Sea', there's nothing like a cup of coffee and a box of doughnuts to keep the cops from going after you.
So nothing of the cultural pressure and infiltration sort.
