>>68145610The game operates on assuming you have no knowledge of the series so far and will fill you in with some character backstories etc. but you won't really get the full picture of how the ""main"" crew assembled and how and why you went on their quest. Most of that is covered very early on in the gacha story and even in the anime adaption but there's still elements present from much later in the story (Like Katalina having access to Ares). It's still very accessible for a new player to get into though
