>>3920838>it is also probably awkward to be refused something simply because people projected some kind of image of youWell...I guess I didn't think of it that way. It's hard sometimes to view her as just a normal person, but it it's true. But viewers have their own hangups, too. I suppose it's a two-way street, like you said. Maybe if Nina wants to be treated in a more familiar way by her viewers, I should consider it. And maybe I and other viewers aren't so repulsive that she'd dislike speaking with us. I'll have to reflect on this...
>>3920897>You can have perfectly healthy interactions as fan and vtuberMaybe I took the "DM your oshi and she'll hate you forever" meme a little too seriously...
>some of us kinda lost sight that she is a lot like us and is using vtubing as her way of bettering herselfAww, hell. You're right. I'm gonna think about talking in chat more, or maybe even joining her discord just to check it out. I suppose that at the end of the day, Nina wouldn't want her fans to think so little of themselves and so highly of her that she ends up without anyone to talk to. I still don't like seeing anyone say that we're somehow responsible for her well-being, but I personally have always kind of wanted to be a more active member of her community. I just never felt worthy, and I'm shy. But if Nina can try to be more outgoing for our sakes, I can try for her.
