>>74365191Apart from just learning the best scoring hands (and cheesing with Dora is almost always the easiest method if you can), the best tip I can give for anyone for any of the LaD games is to learn to take advantage of the seat rotation. If the dealer (always East) wins a hand, or the hand goes to an exhaustive draw and the dealer is in tenpai (one tile away from forming a complete hand) the seat winds don't rotate and an 'extra' hand is played, and it can happen repeatedly.
Basically, if you're the dealer you don't have to necessarily score big with one hand because you can chain together multiple lower-scoring hands to quickly rack up points, and if you're not the current dealer you want to try and win quickly even if it's with a low-scoring hand so that you can become the dealer. Unless the game gives you a good opportunity for a high-scoring hand naturally, the only reason to try and go for one is if you've already been the dealer, the round's not over, and you're behind and need to score big to make up a points deficit.
