Lore is important to have, but lore dropping is the absolute worst way of introducing it to you audience.
Certainty is the death of interest. When before the lore dumps we had cute little animated shorts and we can come up in our heads "oh i wonder why this happened" or "Why does a robot need tits".
But if you just come out and give the viewer all the answers, and especially in a power point style presentation. Its going to be the most boring shit ever.
Not only do you murder any mystery and therefor interest the audience might have had for the product. Because you told them they now like or dislike the content, they made up their mind and move on. They no longer wonder about it, they just lost interest.
You should definitely have a lore cooked up. Its fun, its engaging and it makes for deeper characters. But noone really cares about it. And those who do, will REALLY care about it. Dont kill their interest by clarifying and telling them everything.
