I wonder if she's talking about those. They virtually disappeared when smart phones and tablets became common. I wonder if they are making a comeback. Nowadays I'd imagine they'd use ARM processors rather than x86 processors like the older ones.
Chromebooks basically became a replacement for netbooks, the difference is that Chromebooks connect to some online servers, while with netbooks you have everything installed locally, like an actual computer, just a small one.
