She hasn't been spending nearly enough time practicing, now there's new courses, it's gonna take a lot of time to catch up and I have a feeling she'd rather spend that time on something else. Skipping a year seems reasonable albeit sad, hardly any reason to watch it without her. Plus next year she'll bank on people forgetting she didn't participate now so it's gonna be even easier to skip another year if she so desires.
