>>11230658>Name the darkest timelineAlright: the timeline where China has a real financial investment in Cover, and Cover does not manage to become financially independent from them in time for the Taiwan yab.
What happens in this timeline?
The chinks threaten to pull the trigger if Coco is not fired. If they pull the trigger: Cover goes bankrupt on the spot, China gets ownership and thus complete control of the proprietary Cover Live2D animation app, locks non-CN talents out, Holos would all have to stream with just voice and a cardboard cutout of their avatar. Whether they even own their own models is a grey area that the chinks litigate with spambots and death threats.
Foreseeing this, Yagoo has to submit. He announces Coco's graduation, obliterating his public image in an instant. While talking about it to her viewers, Fubuki ends up saying either Yagoo leaves or she leaves. Yagoo has already sacrificed one talent and he calculates that, as bad as the consequences of Fubuki graduating (marking Cover as a black company) will be, the consequences of China owning Cover are still worse. So he lets Fubuki go too, the dominoes start to fall, after six months of chaos over half the agency has graduated.
Some go solo but most congregate in an unofficial "Exholo" group brand, they try to run it a little like Hololive but it turns out vtuber women are bad at managing, and after they hire people to be managers it turns out vtuber women are also bad at hiring because they got a bunch of creeps, the Exholo brand is permanently plagued with "Mel's manager"-tier drama.
This kind of drama cements "Exholo" as a brand, it becomes "the ethically abysmal but professionally competent China-owned Hololive" vs "the ethically upright but incompetent disaster Exholo crew", talents who used to be friends call each other scabs or idiots, the fanbases wars take internet vitriol to a new level beyond Kpop stans, everybody lives miserably ever after.
