>>42027496I very rarely actually adress the opening in my writing nowadays, I'm probably still insecure about past mistakes. But I think it enhances the writing if done properly, adressing too much leads to synonym usage which can break the reader out of it. On a related note, it's quite hard not to write "back and forth" every single paragraph to fluff up the writing. I have to actively catch myself and change up lots of words because of the small breaks I take between writing each paragraph and thus repeating words.
Alas, I am done with my 500 words of the night, I did it in just 20 minutes, with some nice music to go with it. I was even considering 1k, but to avoid possible burn out, I'll refrain. As expected, all that armchair therapist talk was uneeded. I'm still quite tired, or at least my eyes are, but I have no problem writing if I keep the mindset of "turn off your brain and write the words you're thinking off, now", all I need to do is not jerk off twice per night on the only day or two that I have free time to write and I'm good. Speaking of which, now that I'm done writing I can go for round 2...
