>>72317673While we're talking Yuzu, her rigging exemplifies what I'd consider to be the ideal physics settings.
It helps a lot that her artist put great care into rendering her skin and curves, but what really sells her movements is that *lack* of bounce and jiggle. It's so common to overtune the physics as an aesthetic choice (for some like KevinX, it's practically his calling card), but when you really take the time to think about how the character's body would ACTUALLY move, it really makes all the difference in grounding the model and making it feel more real. Their body type matters, their perceived weight/fat distribution matters, their clothing matters. In an ideal world every model would have its own unique physics tuning (I suspect riggers often find "what works" and apply the same or similar settings to every model they work on, for convenience/efficiency).
Another great example of what I'm talking about is Olivia Monroe.
But there are some models, like Laimu's, where the bounciness really works for the design.
>>72322319I don't really understand what you mean. Dya's a very skilled artist and rigger, she's one of the top dogs for a reason.
It's just that her art doesn't fit every character design, and I think Lily is one of those designs that Dya isn't the right fit for.
Tricky or Aethel on the other hand, she's perfect.
