>>47312338If you can find a way, I suggest you convince him to play them in order, with maybe Sekiro last. Demon’s Souls is by far the least frustrating, and a good way to get into the series. Dark Souls is a step up but a lot better mechanically, only failing is the latter half of the game after Ornstein & Smough. The expiration in it is really good. Dark Souls 2 is likely to be the most frustrating and if possible he should play non Scholar of the First Sin because SoftS while adding cool lore and a little extra content put in really bad enemy placement. Bloodborne is amazing, but it’s not the hardest. It has some really good bosses but also has a lot of misses. Dark Souls 3 is unironically one of the best games, it feels lacking in terms of how linear it feels but is probably their best game in terms of boss design and has some of the best level design. Sekiro is basically a rhythm game layered onto a Souls game. It’s great but feels like shit until it clicks. Elden Ring is what Dark Souls 2 always wanted to be and has amazing exploration, narrative and art direction and design but worse bosses overall compared to Bloodborne and definitely compared to DaS. The endgame bosses are great though, especially Godfrey and Radagon
,unfortunately Elden Beast is linked to the fight which is a downer because it’s just not as good a boss as Radagon
