Since Watame isn't streaming today I visited my grandmother. While we were watching daytime TV there was a show called 'Japan with Sue Perkins' on BBC 2. In the episode we watched it showed Ama divers from Ise. Some of the women were 81 years old and still diving for abalones in the Winter sea. Obviously they are an exception but it was nice to see such high-spirited old Japanese women. If anyone has access to iPlayer I'd recommend it, it's episode 2. I love hags.
