When I was younger my father liked to take the family on trips, he just loved to drive around and visit new places and stuff.
I remember we went to this city just to visit it, nothing special. It was a 6-7 hours drive and we spent 3 days visiting the place.
The final day my father decided he wanted to pull a night drive plus he had work early on the morning so we left during the night.
I don't remember the model but it was just a normal car for a family of 4. My father driving, my mother as the copilot and me and my brother behind. I think it was an old Dodge Neon.
Coolest thing about this trip it was that I got a new pokemon game and that's it.
Anyways I remember we were like an hour max away from our city, it was past midnight obviously, and I was playing something in my game boy when suddenly the car stopped.
It was a violent brake I remember.
I asked what happened but I got no answer.
My father and my mother didn't say anything they just were staring, my brother was sleeping so I decided to peek.
So our car was just standing the middle of nowhere at the dead of the night, everything was pitch black except for what the car's lights illuminated.
In front of a car was some sort of humanoid thing, I have no other way to explain other than a gorilla.
It was big, black I guess? Not furry and obviously didn't have a gorilla face it was just something human like.
I call it a gorilla because that thing was on 2 legs and the arms resting on the road, you know like the animal I mentioned. While I was trying to figure out what was that the thing stood up on 2 legs like a person and that's when my father reacted. He honked and the animal or whatever it was reacted and ran away to the side of the road and disappeared in the darkness. When it started to run we could see some appendages on its back like if they were wings or something.
Up to this day my father is convinced it was just some ugly gorilla that escaped from a circus. My mother doesn't remember it clearly anymore and my brother was sleeping so he never was witness to whatever that thing was.
I think that's the weirdest thing that has ever happened in my life.
I have another story that all my friends are convinced we hanged out with a skinwalker but I just can't believe in that kind of stuff.
