Well said. I have no problem showing up to something later than others, it usually doesn't hinder developing a liking for it. I'd even say I'm late to a lot of parties. Mori was something I caught from debut and I am very glad.
Yes, I did find everything else and came to love that as well. I don't particularly wish I was there "since the before the beginning" because I don't think it would have had the same impact. Vtubers got me through 2020 and then Mori came along towards the end, and discovering the music was at the perfect time. Certain songs felt so relatable. If I had heard them earlier they would have sounded fine, but I wouldn't have felt such a strong connection.
Being a Deadbeat is great because we all come together around a wonderful woman (and in support of others), and I think many of us are intending to follow whatever she does. So there's nothing wrong with getting on a little later, we're all aboard the same train. You know how it goes.
Cheesy can be good. It's sappy and romanticized, which is fitting.
