One of the things I saw recently is weighted Subtraction, basically allowing you to try and fix a model by using another model with qualities that you don't like to try and fix said model. So like if a model is overly pastel-ly you could try using a model that only does pastel to try and correct the model. Bayesian Merger is also becoming more or less the only way people should do MBW merging since now it allows you to do manual scoring, so all of the issues that hll anon pointed out about the scoring models no longer exist, since you can now score the images yourself.
As you can see, I'm really an autist about this stuff.
