Streaming is parasocial by nature, anyone claiming they only care about the entertainment value is coping because you could watch shit like movies or play videogames which are objectively way more entertaining than any streamer. And not everyone who does it is a schizo unicorn, most don't care about what the streamers do in their private life and simply want a sole playing experience and are well aware of it. Most of Hololive is built upon this idea which is why 90% of JP streamers barely do it or do it in extremely professional contexts.
