"It was our child!", you flip over the table, screaming incoherently, the discarded pregnancy kit you had been holding flying off somewhere.
Riifu steps back a little, terrified of your sudden anger. You were such a sweet and docile lover, willing to do anything she'd ask, this was a side of you that she never knew about.
"It's my body! It's my choice! It was barely a month ye bam! I dinnae have to consult you about what I do!", she responds back fiercely arms to the side ready to lash out if you became too dangerous
"THIS IS DIFFERENT. IT WAS MY KID!", even in the midst of your anger, you were still sane enough to understand you were in the losing end of the argument. She had been very clear about her idea on kids, casual jokes about coathangers and kungfu kicks to the womb. You always thought you'd be able to cope if this happened, but unfortunately you have overestimated your ability to empathize.

You inhale, trying to gather your thoughts. You fail and collapse on the floor. You sat on your bum, staring at the wooden floor. Your head in the clouds as you try to recollect yourself.
You hear the shuffling of feet, pale toes with green painted nails enter your vision. You can hear sniffling and soft hands on your shoulders.

"It's okay, I was being stupid. We don't need kids. I'll be there for you Riifu. Forever and always", now it was your turn to comfort Riifu, who has melted into your arms, crying into your chest.
