There's just the "everyone can join" league (that just so happens to be only populated by men because they're much better than women) and then the women's league. Same with chess.

(Genshin, Blue Archive, Girls Frontline, etc.) FGO is special in that it's heavily involved in the doujin community and allows artists a great deal of freedom with the characters they're assigned. That's part of the charm of Nasu retaining the rights to the franchise.
