Pacific and Atlantic Pollock are similar, but Atlantic Pollock live in colder water, so they develop a special layer of fat, similar to a salmon, and as such have a much richer taste. The same is typical of most Atlantic fish. The Gilt Headed Sea Bream in particular has a similar flake and mouth feel to a salmon; a white meat salmon of sorts.
