I think the problem with Gura is that she's unprofessional. As much as people want to try and frame holos as these individuals with free will, which they are, they're still employed under a company. And with that territory comes the expectation of giving back to your fanbase in various ways.
What Gura fails to do is take into consideration that she has a lot of fans worldwide who might not know what's going on, and continuously see her take unannounced breaks with little to no warning. And if that isn't bad enough, even her native English speakers don't know what goes on 70% of the time. And these are often people who member to her regularly and purchase merch.
At the end of the day, it's a two way street. The fans don't owe a streamer anything just as much as a streamer doesn't owe fans anything. But on the flip side, the streamer should be willing to be responsible and be communicative with their audience as they love and support you and show that verbally, emotionally and monetarily.
