So one night before I almost killed myself, I forced myself to create a fake personality and turned it into the dominant "self" in my mind, then just started over from scratch, and taught myself to be the best version of myself by training myself to act like "myself" until it could be close enough to "myself" to form a synthesis with myself, but detached enough from myself to not be insecure about fucking up before I got to the successful end of it.
It was odd, but hey, it works
