Happy Easter once again, I hope you all had a good time. I said I would return with a review of Bigger Bolder Baking's hot cross bun recipe I was going to make so here it is. I dont own a stand mixer so I had to knead by hand and I think I messed up because the dough came out tough and inelastic after kneading for an hour or so in attempt to achieve the window pane test. I used orange liquer soaked raisins which unfortunately resulted in bitter raisins and contrasted with the sweet bun. After baking the bun was actually good taste but nothing amazing, they were firm but not hard or too dense, likely my own fault.
