The major divider whether it's hardline furry or not is genital placement, if they're on the human location then it's more monstergirl territory, whereas if they're on the equine location the it's full furry. Now, since it mixes both a clear human and animal part rather than fuse them together, it's not anthropomorphic and thus not traditionally furry, meaning those who aren't furry can enjoy centaurs from one angle while furries can enjoy it from another angle (quite literally).
