>>54822231I think it's just a clash between people realizing that there's finally an EN gen that actually feels like "Hololive JP but in english", and the old "board culture" of "unity" (where a vtuber could basically be outright terrible and saying anything negative about them is being an "anti"). I think that, with the twins being their own kind of separate "unit", the problem isn't going to last all that long because there isn't actually going to be that much interaction between the "old" holoEN of myth and council and the "new" holoEN with advent.
It's basically going to be like two separate holoENs, with myth and council being like the "prototypes" while gen 3 and onward are the actual finished product that people have been waiting for since Hololive took off in the western world in the first place. I would be surprised if any of the advent girls even continue to refer to them as "senpai" because really, they're more like outdated dinosaurs than anything else.
