People who put in this effort are looking to leech exposure or are simply only passionate about something they're aware of. Nijisanji barely puts in effort to give a second outfit to one of their most successful waves in the west after a year. Nijisanji is a hollow corporation looking for profits and that impacts stuff like fan enthusiasm, lore they can draw from, shallower character concepts, the relationships of their talents, etc. They've driven their own talents into obscurity by releasing 3x the amount in the same span as Hololive.
Myth is probably the most successful generation of any vtuber corp no matter how people like to shit on them here and act like they're horrible. They defined a generation of Western vtubers and because of that are iconic. And Ame particularly has put in a lot of effort into fleshing out her character by doing little larp/kino streams for viewers. It inspires people to do these things.
