If you are sad you can be sad but if you try to pathologize it, it WILL become pathological, because everyone and their mother want to baby you and label you with depression, and have them take their courses, and join their self help groups. The moment you fall into that shit you are done, because only extremely disagreeable types can actual see the cult behavior and realize that subscribing towards all of it is a choice.
I was "clinically" depressed for 15 years, even went to rehab for it for a while and was in and out of a ton of shit. The moment you drop all of this shit is when you get better. No one wants you to be cured. They want you to come back and self identify with them. 50% of therapists have depression. It is literally a fucking cult.
If you want to get better drop all of that shit immediately and take 50mg of Zinc, 4000 IU of vitamin d3. Their effects are proven you can check it out on Examine, unlike the shit psychiatrists throw at you.
