It doesn't matter if they've actively cultivated a fanbase of thirsty simps/incels/virgins/whatever new term for lonely men is trendy, who all developed a weird parasocial relationship with them. They're not oblivious to the kind of audience they have, they just... don't care. After all, you're just a blob of text and money, not a cool guy who can hop on VC at any time and make them laugh and feel desirable. Cool guy + feels good = all is right with the world.
