If you’re friendly, pay attention to them, remember the things they tell you, and let them talk they will like you. Even just a have a wonderful day or good luck with whatever they’re dealing with gets strangers to like you. You start with small talk and build the rapport, and finish by being a good listener and especially a problem solver, or at least sympathetic/empathetic to them. If you see them regularly, you can basically talk about anything and they will listen to you in kind. I end up having some fantastic conversations with my co-workers from media, to family, to simple things like advice on things we’ve experienced, or our past stupid/funny stories among other things. My co-workers keep singing me praises and I’m not used to it so I get really embarrassed but it’s what’s worked for me…
