>>1145860Very much true. If you go look at the top female streamers outside of VTubers, all of them are at least 8/10 and have to stream with makeup on. It's one of those things that goes unsaid most of the time, but yeah the stream space really has no place for ugly girls. Can you imagine a girl being a successful streamer if she looked like a female Asmongold?
That said, many VTubers aren't ugly at all, but by putting on the avatar their looks are taken out of the equation entirely, letting their content and entertainment level be the focus of the stream, which was the base standard for guy streamers to begin with (outside of the very sparse field of bodybuilders / BFE streamers).
For me personally, I've realized I have no interest in GFE vtubers (Rushia/Ame) but genuinely enjoy fun girls with silly personalities like Pekora or Pikamee, and I probably would have never found them if it wasn't for VTubing.
