>>29806793She isn't wrong but she's right for the wrong reasons. Basically every mainstream bible is so heavily edited and has gone through so many revisions that it might as well be economically motivated fanfiction. A lot of work was put in by a lot of different people in order to take the essentially harry potter esque fanfare of the original stories and distill them into a belief system. Many of the gnostic texts don't teach any lesson in particular, they just elaborate on characters and setting elements, many could be construed as slapstick comedies. It's not far off to say that the modern western bible is analogous to making a religion out of harry potter after editing the books to be so vague no one can get a real cohesive story and saying that it's all non literal lessons in morality. Biblical literalism gets a bad wrap because the modern bible wasn't made to be taken literally, but the originals were. They're just collections of obviously fictional stories informed by gnosticism, and they were meant to be taken literally before the ruling powers decided to use their fanbase as a platform to obfuscate the real meaning and replace it with a blind faith in higher power.
