Is it just me or is NijiEN kind of insular? Not as in irrelevant but more as in isolated. These last few weeks of basically no streams lead me to check out some other vtubers. I was already a fan of Neuro and Vedal so I tried watching their usual collab partners, they're not especially interesting but while watching their streams I kinda realized that a lot of the EN vtuber sphere interact with each others or at least talk about each others like they're some kind of community, yet they barely mention NijiEN other than Luxiem, and even for them it's almost exclusively Luca and maybe Vox. It was weird, they're never in their tier lists, they don't joke about Niji or reference them in any way, it's like they're a completely different and separated community, and the same goes for their fans. Maybe it's because it's Twitch and basically no one in NijiEN streams on Twitch regularly but iirc the Holo girls don't either. I don't know, maybe it's a good thing but I just thought it was weird.
