Gigastacy Sorority Queen Suisei feels very unnecessary, especially when you spend more time and detail talking about radio than anything involving somebody who seems like they're gonna matter going forward.
Flare also feels a bit too demure. I understand for the setting some concessions have to be made, but I always feel like she'd more take it in stride or get mad, and only cry when she'

The racism feels...off. Like it's cobbled together from a multitude of different aspects that don't really mix well. Like the Elves are more like Natives, but they're also in the circumstances and prejudices of Civil Rights Movement era black people, but the history is not like any of them so it doesn't make much sense to me that they think of her as an animal, when the standard "Elves are all snarky narcissists who view other races as lesser than" would make more sense for that.
