The game has super friendly gacha since it has a global pity system and they toss free shit around constantly
What people got pissed about was how the hololive skins were EXTREMELY overpriced and most importantly were rng, so you could grind it out then get an EN you didn't like. There wasn't really a good way to get the unit the skin is for too. It was poorly organized.
They're re-running it now and its easier to complete and most importantly you can pick the skin you want when you're done. You can also use a coupon for a selector to pick whatever unit you want for the skin.
