which isn't helped by the fact that the Silent Hill fandom is genuinely one of the most schizophrenic horror fandoms out there, god bless any poor sap tasked with working on that series.
It may not attract a ton of newcomers right out of the gate, but that's why its for the best that it's a 1:1 remake with better graphics and optional QOL improvements. Make the diehards happy, they'll shill the game, and then you'll get a few curious casuals interested in it. It helps too that a remake of Snake Eater was what fans consistently asked for, ever since TPP and ever since people saw the pachislot cutscenes.
