generally you need 4 sets of 3 tiles, either sequence or triplet of the same tile and then 1 pair. however there are a few exceptions to this but youll learn them eventually.
All yakus make some sense.
all simples is only tiles between 2-8
dragons are always a yaku so you have a winning hand
winds correspond to the round (either east or south) and your seat (can be all 4 winds)
chanta and junchan are kind of the opposite of all simples, requiring you to have a 1 or 9 in all triplet/sequences and dragons/winds
riichi is just a closed hand
haitei/houtei/rinchan are just situational
