>>21437254True redwood trees require a drier summer, so they might be rare in /uuu/ outside the southern border. It's still suitable for other giant trees like Douglas fir (featured on Cascadia's flag) and western hemlock. With time, (maybe) chuubanite, and /uuu/ not overlogging them like what happened to IRL, they can well grow to be larger than sequoia.
>>21438384To be fair, being rare and expensive (perhaps unreasonably so, but I digress) is basically what wines are known for. The fact that grapes will likely be competing with wheat production when it comes to land use also probably means its development will be limited by the state to ensure a steady supply of food to the military
although someone influential enough in the system might decide they want some fine wine too.
Other than that, the lack of cash crop and plants seem to check out, although part of me doubts the relative lack of wheat is entirely natural...
The closest there is to cash crop that can reasonably be grown in /who/ would be things like flax and apple (and related fruits like pears). Reasonably useful (flax can be used to make vegetable oil and libre, while fruits gives /who/ diet to those who can afford it a bit more variety), but not exactly conventional cash crops that you can make a lot of money exporting.
