I remember the first Ina stream I watched was her playthrough of Hollow Knight. I admittingly didn't go in expecting much since I was used to non-specialized players of that game being bad and raging at it, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly she picked up on the mechanics.
Watching her defeat the Mantis Lords with an non-upgraded nail reminded me of my first playthrough when I thought that's what you had to do because dark souls logic. Watching her defeat the Soul Master in her first go left me slack jawed. Seeing her get so into the world and lore and characters with a genuine enthusiasm made me smile.
It simply felt nice to see someone experience one of my favorite games for the first time and grow to love it the way I did.
At no point was GFE required for my viewing experience to be entertaining.
