And if you believe there's a chain of liars in the population of 8 billion that managed to chain a lie for a hundred years in an open source subject with steps to reproduce it, without anyone ever noticing, than that's honestly a more practical thing to believe in than religion, because it has happened before and through the said scientific method have been caught and outted. Even if 10% of whatever science topic you pick was a purposefully crafted lie to deceive, those are still better odds than making things up on the spot, digging your feet in and shoving fingers into your ears.
