>>80790605We all go through our slogs through the dumps every once in a while. It's a hard time for sure, but it doesn't stay dark forever. Self-confidence is a hell of a drug, and when you are trying to be creative, it sways both ways like a whirlwind sometimes. When I was having a slump of my own, some good words and taking advice in regards to stepping back, taking a load off, and just enjoying what's out there did miles for me. A good read that takes you to another place, and the looking forward to a new day is sometimes all you need to get right back on that horse.
If your writing fixes don't seem to be working, it might be worth contacting a beta reader and giving them examples of what the critique was, and what you tried to do to apply it. It could honestly be a factor of how you process that information since everyone learns and puts things into practice differently. You just might need a different method.
OR you can write something new to just shake off the creative muscles. Keep it nice and short, and aim to bring a scene you have in your head to life.
