>>39683894chuuba music for me is more about the person behind it and their transparent musical ambitions rather than the music itself, it's fun and you can have a good time listening because it's about the people behind the screen taking a dive into a scene they never step foot in before. compared to more ambitious artists who seek to revolutionize genres as a whole or to invoke strong artistic themes in their sound, of course it's not as good, not even on the same caliber, but it's enjoyed for reasons other than sheer musical technicality or artistry. it's not deep, it's amateurish and often janky, even cringe from a basic viewpoint, and you can tell many of the producers are there to make shit that sells; but part of the enjoyment is knowing that and having fun regardless because the chuubas are having fun with these projects and are trying their hardest while stepping into otherwise unknown territory.
