>>4892082You can do whatever you want, I mean it's free entertainment for probably 99% of us generally, maybe 95% at lowest.
I personally don't get the whole "I'm done with Holo never watching them again" thing - unless Coco was your oshi. You can like the talents and not like the company. That isn't unusual or wrong. It's like say you may have a PS5 but that doesn't mean you love everything Sony does period, etc. What it is is thousands of redditors have been conditioned to just worship Cover basically and do their fighting for them casting doubt on any criticism at all on any talent or anything in/about Cover as some monolithic block of "antis" when really it's not all zhang spam but just critical/free thinkers doing their thing. Some of the biggest fans would be called "antis" by reddit just for speaking their mind. Once you truly know-know something and understand all the components of it you're not going to just brainlessly worship the thing as you know it's a product made and run by people and people are by nature imperfect. There is always going to be something to nitpick, always.
I think it's redditors only now taking off the blindfold and facing the inevitable truth of Cover's imperfect-ness, after getting functionally punched in the face with their mascot/PR representative Holo graduating, suddenly turning on the entire fucking thing instantly. Don't do that. That's dumb. Such a kneejerk is more like an overcompensation making something a binary equation fitting into that conditioning of "you either love everything about the company or you're a mindless anti" fucking bullshit they've fed you all with, when it's really always been grey - only now redditors finally cannot ignore this as they bleed.
We'd known for a long time they've had scandals in the past like Mel, that the Coco thing was handled kind of badly from the get-go and we had seen various shitty things about it get swept under the rug, like literally modding a bunch of antis in her chat and getting a bunch of her members banned etc. Haachama's autism stories got stopped for a while, etc. The permissions arc / Holocaust also was a big shitfest. Aloe was a thing. Hell, Cover pretty much got started in life right away with a scandal in Chris. Coco sets a precedent for the first graduation of a talent that actually got successful. Even if she was fired, she wasn't the first - Kaoru was shitcanned fiercely a while back, and people seem to hardly even consider that a thing. Do redditors even know of him.
To reiterate you can like the talents and not mindlessly worship the company.
