>Magazine
Alright, tomorrow is the big day. Magazine submissions are due tomorrow. As of this post I have received six submissions. It's starting to get really exciting. I've seen some cool stuff already, and I can't wait to share it.
>default credits
Default article credits are using the pseudonym. If you want a different name attached to your article, let me know. Please see below >what comes next section as it may affect your decision.
>extension requests
Just being realistic here. I know it will happen. Any requests for extensions should be emailed today if possible. Let me know why you need more time, how much more time you need, and provide any assets that you have an I'll mark it as a WIP.
>submission cancelation
Again, just preparing. If you signed up but are not going to complete for whatever reason, it would be appreciated if you just speak up now. I saw a few stray comments that implied one or two people may not finish, so it's time to make your decisions.
Before Sunday I want to be able to give as much material to the editor as possible. I've already started some of these activities but they are including but not limited to
>wednesday
Cross Checking your submission against the submission list. Any missing submissions will be called out in thread by your pseudonym.
>thursday-Saturday
Verification of requirements, back and forth contact between organizer and submitter, brief checking of contents and length.
If you have not provided all of the requested assets (templates, but also plain text, images, fonts and other assets) then expect to hear back from me before this weekend is over. If you get an email like this, please prioritize it. I will announce the emails in the threads, since a lot of us are using burners.
It is okay if you requested 2 pages and took 3. This kind of thing you don't need to worry about.
>Sunday
My goal is to provide as much assets to the editor by Sunday in an organized fashion. Final page orders is up to him, but I will make a suggestion.
>what comes next
Editor will have to work hard on this project to get it out on a timely fashion. He is far more experienced than me, but I'm trying to make sure I can support him wherever possible. Simular to request for assistance yesterday, do not be surprised if more requests come up over the next month. It would be weirder if they didnt. Please be patient with us and remember my sketch timeline is not our actual timeline. but I'll be happy to provide updates at any point.
>rear section for message
Still finalizing the details here, but we are looking into putting some kind of short section in the back for short messages (/possibly doodle) kind of like birthday card but more text focused. You would be able to submit something over the course of October and have it included in this rear section. Again, you can sign it however you want. Submissions will probably not be limited to participants, but I'm not sure if you'd want to send a message without participating in the first place.
>credits to organizer and editor
These are my personal feelings as of right now, and they are subject to change. One thing for sure is that I do not view this as "my" project, and I don't want anyone to perceive it as such. It's not about me, and it never was. I might sign my submission as organizer, maybe write a short "letter from the organizer" type thing, and leave it at that. I would sign the rear page with my actual name. This is what I'm leaning towards doing right now.
Editor is his own person, and can make his own decisions in this regards. If he wants to be known as named editor or just editor, I hope you will support him to the end regardless. He asked and i told him that if he wants to sign by name, it's his work and his choice. Speaking of the editor, I'm not sure if I mentioned it already, but editors submission will be a two page spread for the magazine covers and rear covers.
Am I missing anything? Well, I'll just come back later if I have more to add.
