She had a fuck up and panicked, cover did nothing to help protect her so she made a dumbass mistake, something that having an HR department handling the situation would have saved.
Should she have been fired for it? Sure, but real life idols have gotten away with worse and suffered less consequences.
At the very least she should have been given a forceful graduation, let cover and her earn some parting money, and call it a day. Erasing her just sets a bad precedent considering how long she was a member and how important she was. As opposed to people like Chris or Aloe who basically had no impact before getting fired.
As someone who only tangentially watches hololive, these things do chase me off. I went from periodically watching Pekora and a few of the other gamers to basically never watching them and instead just watching niji and espo
