They were raised and came of age during a time of ridiculously easy money. Everyone was making bank since the GFC because the cost of capital was ridiculously cheap. VC money literally propping up companies that didn't turn a profit for nearly a decade, running on the promise that they would eventually corner the market and with the help of technology and innovation, they'd be the next Amazon; if only they ran everyone else out of business...!
