>>71546695They're called "fandom parasites".
These people lack any sort of friend group or "community" irl, so they trawl the internet, trying to find hobbies to attach themselves to with the least amount of effort.
This isn't exclusive to Hololive btw.
Thanks to the internet, there's tons of these in EVERY SINGLE FANDOM.
> big Dark Souls fan that has watched 50 hours of video essays and Dark Souls lore videos, but hasn't played a single game> big <video game> fan that's never played a single <video game> in the series but has watched 100 hours of streams about it> big Undertale fan that's made fanarts, fanfics and other derivative content but never played the actual gameetc. etc.
They aren't always harmful, since some of them usually like what they get and aren't really shitting aspects of the hobby or trying to have it changed e.g. Blue archive "fans" that come from porn, completely ignorant of BA story but still united by love for cunny and never wants the cunny gone. Doesn't care either way whether some gun or balance changes in the game, doesn't comment on it either.
But the fandom parasites that want to CHANGE the host? That's the one you should be most wary of. The retards asking for "easy mode" in Dark Souls so that their dumb brains can finally try to get into the game. The clipniggers watching Hololive who hate "unicorn pandering".
Holostars has a "fanbase" on twitter because of this reason. There's not enough of them to gatekeep these retards, and they see the homos as self inserts for being with the hololive girls, and get frustrated when the girls' don't fulfil what they think should be their end of the fantasy.
Ironically enough, they don't care about the girls (or the homos) as "people", just "anime characters" that appeal to their base coomer brains.
